While there aren’t any unique bet types or daily odds boosts, bet365 provides a full selection of the most common bets and prop bets. That said, if you’re seeking unique bet types and contests, I recommend checking out DraftKings, PointsBet, or FanDuel.
Prop Bets: bet365 offers a modest variety of prop bets. An example of a prop bet is “Will Ezekiel Elliot score a touchdown?” Another example is, “Will Lamar Jackson throw over or under 0.5 interceptions?”
Cash-Out Feature: Like most sportsbooks, bet365 offers a cash-out feature, which allows you to amend your original bet and lock in a profit or a loss by settling your bet (or a portion of your bet) early, without having to wait for the event to finish. Knowing you can cash a bet out early incentivizes you to watch every game you bet on, or at least get scoring updates.

British vs American odds: bet365 defaults all odds to fractional odds, which is what the UK uses. All other sportsbooks use American odds, which is likely what you will be used to as an American. To change this setting, scroll to the bottom of the website or app and find the odds setting. While this is only a minor inconvenience, it gives me the impression that bet365 didn’t consider how to maximize its appeal to the U.S. market.

Like other sportsbooks with live betting (betting on games that have already started), bet365 offers instant bets, a live match tracker with live scores, and instant streaming.
Instant Bets: Examples of instant betting include betting on the next swing of a tennis match or the next drive of a football game.
For NFL games, bet365 allows you to bet on each drive's result before it happens, which is exciting. Instant bets are also available for sports such as tennis. Overall, bet365’s instant bets are above average and I was left impressed.
Live Match Tracker definition: A live match tracker is an animated graphic that updates in real-time as you are watching a game. A match tracker has a live clock, displays the score by quarter, and even shows which team is attacking. For NFL games, the match tracker also lists the last play, the total plays and yards on the drive, and the down and distance.
Live Match Tracker overview: bet365’s live match tracker shows ball movement for each play. You can replay earlier drives from each team for NFL games, a feature only available at a select few sportsbooks. A game summary is also available, showing how each team’s drive ended (punt, field goal, etc.). Statistics such as rush yards, total plays, and 3rd down conversions, amongst others are also available.

The only downside of bet365’s live match tracker is it lists each team as Team1 and Team 2 instead of the actual team name. My guess is that this will be updated in a future code release.
Live Streaming: Live streaming allows you to stream games live in the app. Live streaming, currently offered by bet365 and a few other sportsbooks, is presently limited to sports such as tennis, basketball, soccer, and hockey. Almost all games available for live streaming are international, meaning, you can’t watch the Atlanta Falcons or Atlanta Hawks play just yet.

While the bet365 mobile app has a simple design that makes it easier to find the team and bet you’re looking for, there are a few ease of use issues that would make me hesitant to make it my primary sports betting app.
Likes: There are tabs for Sports, In-play, and Search at the bottom of the app, making it easy to find any game to bet on. bet365 is also one of the only sportsbooks to offer a calendar of upcoming games, a subtle but pleasing feature.
Dislikes: The bet365 mobile app makes users re-login far more often than other apps. For example, if you leave the app to check your texts and re-enter the app, you are forced to re-login. With FaceID or TouchID, this would be less of an issue, but neither of those features is currently available. While some people might not be bothered by this, I know for me it is a dealbreaker as I’m constantly going back and forth between apps. I also found that the live betting menu takes a few seconds longer to load compared to other apps.

Shockingly, bet365 offers no education for first-time bettors. There is no glossary defining betting terms, no welcome guide explaining bet types, and nothing else focused on educating first-time bettors. For a company as established as bet365, this is a missed opportunity as the U.S. market is new.

Statistics: bet365 is one of the few sportsbooks to offer statistics, which is a win for users. For example, for NFL statistics, the overall league standings are listed. When you click on a specific team, you can view that team’s last matches, as well as upcoming matches.
You can also view over and under percentages for pre-set numbers. For example, you can see how often each team’s game totals go over or under 50 points. For soccer, there are more statistics available, as well as individual player statistics. That said, you have to scroll to the bottom of the app to find these statistics, which is a minor annoyance. Navigation can be improved, but there are stats available.
Betting news: bet365 is one of the only sportsbooks to offer betting news, which I found to be of average quality. There is more news centered around UK-based sports such as soccer (labeled football on the site) instead of US sports. Minor gripes aside, having the option to read some news is better than not having the option at all.

bet365 offers promotions for first-time bettors alongside a variety of ongoing promotions for existing customers. bet365’s promotions are decent. However, I found there to better promotions available at sportsbooks such as BetRivers, and DraftKings.
New customer bonus: For new sports bettors, bet365 offers a 100% deposit match up to $100. While I find deposit matches are typically the best type of bonus, you can get a 100% match up to $250 at other sportsbooks such as BetRivers. That said, if you’re using multiple sportsbooks, you might as well take advantage of as many promotions as possible.
Existing customer bonus: bet365 offers several ongoing seasonal promotions. When this review was written in December 2020, bet365 offered parlay bonuses and early payout bonuses, among others. Again, these bonuses are decent, but I prefer other ongoing bonuses, such as those offered at DraftKings.

Final Thoughts
While I was impressed with bet365’s live betting and statistics, I was left unimpressed with the app's lack of education and ease of use issues. In states with several different sports betting options, I could see justifying bet365 as a secondary option, but, all in all, bet365 trails industry leaders.
